Eric Mintel Quartet
Friday, September 7, 8—10pm

In 1993, Eric Mintel formed his Quartet. His jazz work is heavily influenced by Dave Brubeck, but he also composes and performs orchestral and choral music, blending jazz, classical and the sacred choral music of Duke Ellington. The quartet has performed twice at the White House for Presidents Clinton and Obama, as well as numerous times at the Kennedy Center. His piano performance is accompanied by Nelson Hill (sax, clarinet and flute), Jack Hegyi (bass) and David Mohn (drums). In July 2012, the quartet released their 10th CD, this time of all original music, Just Around The Corner. For more, visit www.ericmintelquartet.com.
